Joseph has amassed over 15 years of experience in the tax, accounting, and audit fields. In 2012, Joseph passed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam in the state of New Jersey and is currently an active license holder. In an effort to expand his expertise in the field of business tax and law, Joseph earned his Masters in Taxation (MT) from the University of Villanova. Prior to founding the Ferrara Tax Group, Joseph served as part of the management team at two "Big Four" accounting firms, where he received industry renowned tax, accounting, and audit training. There he led the audits of global financial services companies.

When Joseph is not assisting his clients achieve their financial goals, he enjoys spending time with his wife Lauren, daughter Juliana, and dog Skylar. Most notably, Joseph loves cooking for his family during the holiday season and spending as much time as possible outdoors.
